The 12th Balkan Congress of Nuclear Medicine, held in collaboration with the 17th Panhellenic Congress (https://www.bcnm2025.org/), took place this year in Athens, from May 8 to 11.

Under the slogan "Joining Forces", the congress aimed to strengthen the development of nuclear medicine in the region and to encourage cooperation between various medical specialties.

The thematic sections of the congress highlighted the immense potential of nuclear medicine in advancing precision medicine, especially in the treatment of cancer, cardiovascular, and neurodegenerative diseases. Today, nuclear medicine enables early disease detection, personalized therapy selection, prediction of treatment outcomes, and the application of effective therapeutic options in numerous cases.

Representatives of the Vinča Institute, Milan Ljušić and Radmila Ćorović-Medenica, actively participated in the congress, holding a series of meetings with existing and potential partners. The conference was a success for our team, as the agreements reached represent an important step toward signing new cooperation contracts in the field of nuclear medicine and applied technology.
