A delegation from the Vinča Institute of Nuclear Sciences, led by Director Dr. Slavko Dimović, participated in a working meeting with representatives of the Ministry of Science, Technological Development and Innovation, headed by Minister Dr. Bela Balint.

During the meeting, the scientific, technological, and infrastructural capacities of the Institute were presented, along with some of the key initiatives currently shaping the future of scientific research in Serbia. A particular focus was placed on topics related to the construction of a pilot plant for hydrogen production, cooperation with the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research in Dubna, and the FAMA research program, which integrates advanced knowledge in the field of material modification and analysis using light and heavy ions.

Minister Balint was also briefed on the latest activities aimed at improving working conditions for researchers, as well as the possibilities for accrediting master's and doctoral studies. This represents an important step towards connecting the scientific and higher education systems. Throughout the meeting, the potential for further development of the Institute towards becoming a leading multidisciplinary institution at both national and regional levels was highlighted.

This meeting marks another step in the continuous, open, and encouraging cooperation between the Vinča Institute and the Ministry of Science, Technological Development, and Innovation. Through joint action, new opportunities are emerging for accelerated scientific development, strengthening research capacities, and applying innovations to drive sustainable technological progress in the Republic of Serbia.
