Dr Goran Branković graduated in physics in 1993 at the University of Belgrade and obtained his PhD in 2002 in Physical Chemistry from Instituto de Quimica – UNESP, Araraquara, Brazil. He carried out his postdoctoral research the Universidade Federal de Sao Carlos – UFSCar, Sao Paulo in Brazil (2002-2003) and at the Department for Nanostructured Materials “Jozef Stefan” Institute, Ljubljana, Slovenia (June 2007-December 2007) He was also a visiting scientist at Instituto de Quimica – UNESP, Araraquara, Sao Paulo, Brazil (May 2011-September 2011) and at the Department of Materials Science & Engineering, Texas A&M University, USA (Jan. 2014 – June 2014). Dr Branković is research professor and head of Materials Science Department of Institute for Multidisciplinary Research – University of Belgrade in Serbia. Dr Branković is the leader of the Serbian national project “Zero- to Three-Dimensional Nanostructures for Application in Electronics and Renewable Energy Sources: Synthesis, Characterization and Processing”. His interests and expertise include electroceramics (varistors, ferroelectrics, magnetic materials, multiferroics), grain boundary phenomena, materials for energy applications (materials for SOFC photovoltaics, thermoelectrics), nanomaterial design and synthesis, sintering and ceramics processing, solid state reactions, thin films deposition, materials characterization. From 2003-2008, Dr Branković was lecturer at Multidisciplinary Graduate School of the Belgrade University on courses “Materials for Electronics” and “Structure of Materials”. He is author and co-author of 115 refereed journal articles that are cited more than 1000 times.
