H1 Monte
Carlo production task force meeting
M. Mudrinic gave a presentation
on progress in automating MC job submission at the H1 Monte Carlo
production task force meeting at DESY Hamburg.
End of HERA
operation
After 15 years of successful operation electron-proton accelerator HERA stopped
the data-taking. Yet, evaluation of the recorded measurement data is expected
to be completed sometime in the next decade. It will provide a comprehensive
overall picture of the proton structure. Such understanding will be essential
to estimate and interpret LHC data.

HEP Group Vinca joined HONE Virtual Organization
Our grid related activities have been extended to H1 grid. This comes as
a part of our participation in development of the job monitoring tools for the
Monte Carlo Data Management System.

At LCWS07, Hamburg, May 30 - June 03, Mila Pandurovic presented our

As a part of ongoing grid activities
of the HEP Group Vinca, we have joined ATLAS Virtual
Organization through the German Certification Authority GridKa.

Grant from the Ministry of Science
INN Vinca
HEP Group is granted by the Ministry of Science and Enviromental
Protection of the Republic of Serbia for realization of the international
project at H1 experiment.
Agreement on Cooperation INN Vinca - DESY
Based on our Group activity at H1
experiment, the Agreement on Cooperation has been signed between INN Vinca and DESY, the largest European national laboratory
for research in particle physics.
Postdoctoral position filled!
Mihajlo Mudrinic has taken a postdoctoral
position in the Vinca HEP Group. He will support IT
aspect of HEP experiments we are participating and overtake the grid research
activity at ATLAS and H1.
